Celebrate Music & Support Therapeutic Art-Making

Celebrate BuildaBridge with the wonderful music of New Orlean's Sam Price and the True Believers with special guest, Angelica (a Lizzy de Lise solo project) on the ever-so-lovely Morning Dew Farm.

LOVE IS THE MESSAGE, AND MUSIC IS THE MESSENGER

Sam Price and the True Believers are making their way to the great Northeast. They'll be gracing Morning Dew Farm with their message of love and shared humanity.

Bass player/singer Sam Price (Honey Island Swamp Band) presents his own unique vision with a 6-piece band performing original music as well as his arrangements of New Orleans material and classic songs. The music incorporates soulful harmonies featuring female backing vocals, congas and other hand percussion, and the high-flying, Allman Brothers-esque soloing of guitarist Alex Mallet ('Papa' John Gros band). The band's song lyrics emphasize an uplifting, positive outlook that speaks to the interconnectedness of humanity and the undeniable power of Love and kindness to transform. BuildaBridge Teaching Artists will also be on hand with experiential art-making activities. Participants will get a taste of hope-infused art-making and learn how creativity helps people who have experienced a traumatic situation heal. For over twenty years BuildaBridge has been serving youth and their communities, leveraging the power of art-making to heal, strengthen and infuse more hope into the world. A portion of the afternoon's proceeds will go to supporting BuildaBridge.
